 Kalamazoo College,
   Western Michigan University
   Kalamazoo Valley Community College,
   Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies,
Davenport University in the Kalamazoo area,

to participate in Catholic Campus Ministry.

St. Thomas More is the Catholic campus parish in Kalamazoo area.  We are not a Newman Club, but a full fledged parish dedicated to the campus communities.

Read our Mission Statement below -- you'll see that campus ministry is our Mission - we are here to serve the college students and the campus faculty and staff. Our 600 families, many of those employed by the schools, join in our ministry to the students.

4 weekend Masses year round, Student Retreats, More at Midweek (every Wednesday at 8:30 p.m.), Music Ministry, Liturgical Ministries, Scripture Sharing, care packages during exam weeks -- so many ways for you to get involved in our young adult parish, to grow in your faith, to meet new friends in a smoke-free, alcohol-free safe setting.

Our Mission Statement

We, the people of St. Thomas More Parish, gifted and led by the Holy Spirit, are called to build up the Kingdom of God among the college communities of Kalamazoo. Diverse, yet one, we are called to be the Body of Christ, to praise and worship our heavenly Father, to proclaim God's Word, to love and serve others, especially the poor and neglected. We welcome into our parish family all who wish to share in this mission.

St. Tom's is the Catholic student parish for college students in Kalamazoo,
and we hope you will find it an exciting place to encounter Jesus Christ and make new friends! Founded in 1953, St. Tom's is composed of students, faculty, college and university personnel from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo College, Kalamazoo Valley Community College, Davenport University and the Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies as well as many permanent resident families... all joining in our spirit-filled celebrations.

Our Student Ministry Team helps plan social, spiritual, and service-oriented opportunities. You will meet friends who share your values, hopes, dreams and questions. You will have an opportunity to join others who share your need for support and strength during your college years. Together we form a caring community of believers.

Please take the time to browse this web site. It offers just a sampling of the many ministries and programs available in your parish. Introduce yourself to the team members and become a part of our family. We want you... need you... and welcome you to the community of St. Thomas More!!

In addition to being available at the parish, the pastoral team also has an office at WMU’s Kanley Chapel, office 1110, and makes regular visits to Kalamazoo College. An individual appointment can be scheduled with the team members. Just give us a call (269 381-8917) or drop us an e-mail at sttoms@sttomskazoo.org
